HDMI Splitter Amplifier 1 In to 2 Out Dual Display September 1, 2010 dawud 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have 1 Sony Bravia HD TV in my bedroom. I have 1 LG HD TV in my living room. I have a PS 3 Sony PlayStation in my living room hooked up to my eithernet high speed internet modem. I wanted to use my PS 3 to broadcast Netflix streaming movies or Blue Ray movies and regular movies to the TV in my living room OR my bedroom.
After connecting the PS 3 HDMI output into the splitter (in) and connecting the splitter output 1 to the LG and the splitter 2 output to the Sony Bravia and the power supply to the splitter.
Now I can watch the movies via streaming or disc on my TV in the living room or shut the living room TV off and go to the bedroom, turn on that TV and continue to watch what was on the Living room TV. Or visaversa.
This is exactly what I wanted. Instead of unplugging the Sony output and plugging it back in for the TV I wanted to view. This device has performed without any problems after a month. I think this is a good device if you want to do what I have described above.
I also discovered I can watch the same thing simultaniously on both TV's at the same time. So if you are moving from one room to the other both TV's are broadcasting at the same time through the splitter. I see no diminished clarity performance on either HD TV in this mode. This was I plus I did not expect.
I hope this comment can help others to make their decision wisely.
It Works Well August 21, 2010 Anthony Ortiz (Clifton, NJ) I am using this unit to split the HDMI signal from my computer to the monitor and my 46" T.V. Installation was a breeze. Make all your connections, plug it in, and your set. Sound and video are sent to both displays simultaneously. I primarily use this to watch movies from my media hard drive and play games without having to physically take out the display connectors each and every time, saving wear and tear on the cables. The device itself is tiny and unobtrusive. I strongly recommend this product.
No issues yet. August 20, 2010 FOX I've had this product for a little over a month and I haven't had any problems out of it yet. It's pretty cut and dry. I bought it so I could run one HDMI cable from my xbox to my computer for recording, while running the other HDMI cable to the T.V. to play. It does exactly what it says it does. No faults found. Easy to setup.
Inexpensive Solution to Single HDMI Outputs! August 9, 2010 Neil C. McEvoy (Malden, MA USA) I purchased a brand-new Denon A/V receiver recently to support HDMI and Blu-Ray True HD audio. Picture quality and sound are terrific.
The misses, however, wondered where the "numbers" (the volume indicator on our LG 47" HDTV) went. She didn't like having to squint looking at the volume indicator on the Denon receiver.
This HDMI splitter was a simple & inexpensive way to provide the best of both worlds. I've got one of the outputs going to the Denon and the other to the second HDMI input on the LG. Now the wife can watch television and know at what level the audio is set (although you'd think she'd use her ears).
Highly recommended!
Does what it says July 31, 2010 T. Rodeback (Moses Lake, Wa United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little weary when I opened the box because this is made with fairly cheap plastic. It does however do exactly what is says. I'm splitting a PS3 signal to a computer & a monitor. A 6' cord goes into the splitter, then two other 6' cords to the end points. I like the size of the splitter it is small enough to place behind a desk or shelf up against the wall. This unit might cost more than other similar products but after reading other reviews on other HDMI splitters I'm glad I ended up with this one.
